Mohana van den Kroonenberg (1967) first studied mechanical engineering and then chose her passion for art and went to the art academy in The Hague and the Schrijversvakschool 't Colofon in Amsterdam. She now works as a sculptor/draftsman and writer. She regularly publishes in literary magazines and has written several books for Uitgeverij van Oorschot. For the first collection 'Murder Dinner,' she received the Academica Debutanten Prize. Her sculptures are cheerful and are sold through Smelik & Stokking, among others. Pim the round horse is a favorite subject, but also Lex de Haas. In the sculptures you can see her fascination for technology, which she combines with artistic expression. She wants to express the carefree side of life. She can express that emotion in animals. With her sculptures she can convey joy and happiness to the viewer and the space like no other.
