Biography Louis Bron
Louis Bron (The Hague, 1884 – Leiden, 1959) studied at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. He also received instruction from Berend Adrianus Bongers and Frits Jansen. Later in his career, he taught Hermina Geertruida Sauerbier, among others.
As an artist, Bron worked in various places including The Hague, Delft, Reeuwijk, Kaag, Woudrichem, and Veere. He also travelled to Spain and France for inspiration. His artistic preferences included floral still lifes, figure studies, river landscapes, marine scenes, and Spanish-themed compositions.
Louis Bron was active as a watercolorist, painter, children's book illustrator, and stained-glass designer.
He was a member of both Arti et Amicitiae and Pulchri Studio.
