Biography Anje Zijlstra 

Anje (Groningen 1908 - Amsterdam 1992) worked in Groningen, Amsterdam and Antwerp. She could often be found in Artis. She is known at the RKD as a watercolourist, sculptor, draftsman and etcher, particularly of animal depictions, street scenes and landscapes. She studied at the Minerva Academy (Groningen) and the National Higher Institute for Fine Arts (Antwerp) and at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten (Amsterdam). Anje was a member of the Hollandse Aquarellisten Kring association.
