Biography Hessel de Boer
Hessel de Boer (Haarlem 1921 - Den Haag 2003) is a painter from The Hague and followed the Royal Academy of Art in that same city near the Northsea. He painted figure representations, portraits, vegetable and fruit still lifes. He was a member of the Pulchri Studio, the Haagsche Kunstkring and winner of the Willink van Collen Prize. He painted the surroundings of The Hague and was known for his skies.
